Resin River & Live-Edge Timber Tables — Natural Warmth, Modern Craft
RockVine builds
resin river dining tables and
live-edge timber dining tables that combine the depth of natural wood with contemporary, gallery-grade finishes. Hand-made in the UK, every piece is built to order—sized for your room, tuned to your seating plan, and finished for everyday life. If you’re looking for a
bespoke wooden dining table, a
modern resin river table, or a
live-edge oak or walnut table that feels tailored rather than off-the-shelf, you’re in the right place.

Resin River Tables — Natural Timber, Modern Drama
Our
resin river tables pair live edges with a flowing “river” of epoxy for a look that’s equal parts organic and contemporary. We stabilise knots and checks, level the surface for comfortable dining and polish to a silky, tactile finish.
Resin options
Crystal-clear to spotlight grain and character
Smoked, ink-black or ocean-blue pigments for modern schemesTranslucent or opaque effects, with optional metallic shimmer
Timber choices
European
oak and American
walnut lead for tone and stability, but we can source alternatives to suit your palette. Layouts include
book-matched slabs (mirrored grain),
offset boards for a wilder edge profile, or a
single live edge + straight edge for a cleaner, contemporary feel.
Tell us your flooring/cabinet colours and we’ll match tone—honeyed oaks through to deep chocolate walnut.
Why a resin river table?
It’s a functional piece of art—perfect for open-plan spaces where a statement centrepiece ties timber, stone and metal together. The epoxy’s glass-like depth adds light and reflection without feeling glossy or fussy.
Live-Edge Timber Tables — Warmth, Grain & Character
Our
live-edge dining tables celebrate the timber itself: cathedral grain, pippy features, sapwood flashes and age rings that make each top one-of-one.
Board & build stylesSingle wide slab for minimalist drama
Book-matched slabs for mirrored figure
Multi-board tops with refined straight edges
We hand-select kiln-dried boards for stability, joint and flatten them with precision, then finish by hand. Edge profiles can be left wild for organic movement or gently blended for a subtler line.
Finish options
Choose
matte hardwax oils for a soft, natural feel under hand, or a more
durable sealed finish for busy family kitchens and hospitality use. All finishes are maintainable, so your table can be refreshed years down the line rather than replaced.
Shapes & Sizes — From 6 to 12+ Seats
Every RockVine table is
made to measure.
As a quick guide, allow roughly
60 cm per diner for elbow room.
180–200 cm long: comfortable
6-seater
220–240 cm: ideal
8-seater
260–300 cm: generous
10–12 seater
Width 95–110 cm leaves serving space down the centre
Round tables (120–180 cm) keep conversation easy and suit square rooms
Racetrack ovals soften corners and improve circulation in tighter layouts
Not sure what fits? We’ll map
walkway clearances, chair arm heights vs aprons, and recommend
radius corners or
pedestal bases to keep traffic routes smooth. See real-room examples in
Projects.
Bases & Bespoke DetailsPair your top with powder-coated steel
X-legs,
U-frames,
trapezium or
sled bases; or choose a sculptural
pedestal/central plinth for maximum legroom (great on rounds and ovals).
We can colour-match hardware (black, bronze, pewter, custom RAL), introduce
brass details, and add crafted touches like
bow-tie (butterfly) keys in contrasting timber or metal to stabilise natural checks. Ask about
matching benches, console and coffee tables to carry the look through open-plan spaces.
Made for Real Life — Homes & Hospitality
Both
resin river and
live-edge timber tables are engineered for everyday use: family dinners, work-from-home laptops and weekend entertaining. For commercial projects, our
Services include drawings, finish schedules, access planning and dependable lead times for restaurants, hotels and meeting spaces.
Open-plan family kitchens: warmth and tactility that wears gracefully
Design-led apartments: organic texture that complements concrete, plaster and steel
Restaurants & hospitality: durable, maintainable tops with character
Care & Maintenance — Simple & Straightforward
Daily care is easy: wipe with a soft cloth, avoid harsh abrasives and use trivets for very hot cookware.
Resin (epoxy) rivers keep their depth with gentle microfibre cleaning; light swirl marks from everyday use can be polished out.
Hardwax-oiled timber can be spot-repaired and re-oiled;
sealed finishes clean down quickly and resist most spills.
We supply
aftercare guidance and can provide an
aftercare kit or professional refresh service if you’d like help later.
