Size, timber preference, base style, room context — as much or as little as you have. We work from a rough idea as easily as a detailed spec.
We'll come back with what's available in our current slab stock, suggest species and sizes that suit your brief, and give you a fixed price with no surprises.
You select the actual piece of timber your table will be made from — via photos, video or a showroom visit in Stockport. Nothing is committed until you've seen and approved it.
Your table is handcrafted in our Stockport workshop over 6–10 weeks. We'll update you throughout the build with photos at key stages.
We deliver and install ourselves — no couriers. We bring it in, place it where you want it and make sure you're completely happy before we leave.
Every element of your table is chosen by you. There is no catalogue to pick from — we build from your brief, your slab and your space.
Oak, walnut, ash, elm, burr oak and more. We work with what we have in stock and source specifically for unusual briefs.
Natural waney edge, softened organic edge or a clean straight cut on one or both sides. You choose the character of the edge.
X-Frame, Square Leg, Trestle or a fully bespoke design. All powder coated in your choice of colour and finish.
Hardwax oil for a natural tactile feel, satin lacquer for durability, or matte lacquer for a contemporary flat look.
Any length, width and height. Standard dining height or bar height — built to your exact room measurement.
Natural voids and cracks can be filled with clear, black or tinted resin — enhancing the character rather than hiding it.

All RockVine live edge tables are handcrafted to order in our Stockport workshop. Production slots are limited — if you have a specific deadline, tell us upfront and we'll confirm whether it's achievable before you commit.
Answers to the questions we get asked most often before an order is placed.
Not if it's built properly. All our timber is kiln-dried before we start work, which removes most residual moisture and minimises future movement. Our structural steel bases are designed to allow for natural timber behaviour without putting stress on the slab — so the table stays flat and stable for decades.
Yes — always. Once we agree on spec and you place a deposit, we'll share photos and video of the specific slab your table will be made from. You're welcome to visit the workshop to select in person. Nothing gets cut until you've approved it.
Yes. Every surface is professionally finished and sealed before delivery — either with a penetrating hardwax oil or a surface lacquer, depending on your preference. The surface is food-safe, water-resistant and suitable for daily family dining use.
We take a 50% deposit to secure your order and slab, with the balance due prior to delivery. Payment is by bank transfer. We'll provide full written order confirmation before any money changes hands. If you'd like to discuss staged payments for larger orders, just ask.
Yes — we deliver and install ourselves on all orders. We don't hand off to couriers. Standard white-glove delivery to mainland UK is included in the price. We bring the table in, place it where you want it and make sure you're happy before we leave.
