Getting Started

It starts with a conversation — that's it. You don't need a brief, a floor plan, or a firm idea of what you want. Most of our customers come to us with a rough sense of the material they like and a space they're trying to fill, and we work through the rest together.

From that first conversation we'll talk through sizes, finishes, base options and budget — and come back to you with a clear proposal. Nothing gets built until you're happy with every detail.

If you'd like to talk it through before committing to anything, book a free video call with us. Twenty minutes is usually all it takes to get the conversation properly started.

Not at all — though we'd love it if you did. Our Stockport showroom has finished tables, material samples and base options you can see and touch in person, which makes a real difference when you're choosing a finish or a colour.

That said, plenty of our customers never visit and still end up with exactly the table they wanted. A video call works brilliantly for talking through options, and we can send physical samples in the post if you'd like to feel the material before you commit.

It depends on the product and how quickly decisions get made. Our Slimline range has a guaranteed 21-day turnaround once the order is confirmed. Premium and Cloud tables typically take 6-8 weeks, and resin river and live edge pieces vary depending on timber availability and complexity.

We'll always give you a confirmed lead time before anything goes into production — no vague estimates, no moving goalposts. If you have a specific date in mind, tell us early and we'll do our best to work around it.

The quickest way is to use our table builder — it walks you through the key decisions and gives you a guide price in under two minutes. It's not a final quote, but it gives you a realistic starting point.

For something more specific — or if you'd rather just talk it through — give us a call or book a video consultation and we'll work through the numbers together. There's no obligation and no hard sell. We'd rather you made the right decision than a fast one.

Absolutely not — in fact it's the perfect time. Some of our best projects have started with someone saying "I don't really know what I want but I know I want something different." That's exactly the kind of brief we enjoy.

A short video call costs nothing and commits you to nothing. We'll ask a few questions about your space, show you some options, and you'll come away with a much clearer picture of what's possible — even if you're not ready to order yet.

Materials & Finishes

All three are made from polished micro-cement but they're quite different products. The Premium table is our full-weight, trowel-applied concrete top — the most tactile and characterful of the three. The Slimline is a thinner, lighter top on a more refined base — same material, cleaner aesthetic. The Cloud is our signature freeform shape — no straight edges, no sharp corners, completely unlike anything else on the market.

Not sure which is right for your space? A quick video call is the best way to talk it through — we can show you all three and help you decide. Book one here.

We have over 30 standard colours in our concrete palette — from classic greys and warm creams through to deep charcoals, soft greens, dusty pinks and bold statement finishes. We also offer custom colour matching for an additional charge, so if you have a specific shade in mind we can usually get close.

We can send physical colour samples in the post so you can see the finish in your own light before committing. Just get in touch and we'll sort that for you.

We work primarily in oak, walnut, ash and elm — but we source timber on a slab-by-slab basis, so availability varies. Steve visits suppliers personally to select slabs with the right grain, figure and character for each project rather than ordering from a catalogue.

If you have a particular species in mind we'll let you know what's available and what it looks like — and if you'd like to be involved in the selection process, we're happy to share options before anything is cut. Just mention it when you get in touch.

Yes — resin colour is one of the most enjoyable parts of the design process. We have a wide range of pigments including solids, metallics, pearlescents and shimmer finishes, and we work with you to find a combination that complements the timber rather than competing with it.

We always make a small test sample for approval before the full pour — so you'll know exactly what you're getting before anything is committed to the table. If you're not sure where to start, book a video call and we'll walk you through the options.

Yes — our alloy and texture range is completely unique to RockVine. We've developed a series of concrete and liquid metal finishes that incorporate copper, bronze and other alloys directly into the surface — the results are genuinely unlike anything available from other makers.

We also offer a range of heavily and lightly textured surfaces for customers who want something with real tactile depth. These finishes take longer and carry an additional cost, but for the right project they're extraordinary. Take a look at our alloys and textures page for more.

Sizing, Delivery & Installation

Almost any size you need. We work to your exact dimensions rather than standard sizes — so if your dining room needs a 2.4m x 1.1m table, that's what we'll make. We can also advise on the right proportions for your space if you're not sure what will work best.

If you're unsure what size you need, our free table sizer tool is a good place to start — or just get in touch and we'll talk it through with you.

Yes — we deliver nationwide. Every table is delivered by our own team or a specialist two-man courier service, not a standard parcel carrier. These are heavy, bespoke pieces and we treat them accordingly.

Delivery is coordinated directly with you once your table is ready — we'll agree a date and time that works, and give you a clear arrival window so you're not waiting around all day.

For most tables we deliver to your room of choice and position it in place — bases are attached and everything arrives ready to use. For larger or more complex pieces we can arrange a full installation service including base assembly on site.

If you have specific access constraints — narrow hallways, tight staircases, upper floor rooms — tell us early and we'll plan around them. It's rarely a problem but it's always better to know in advance.

Our Slimline range has a guaranteed 21-day turnaround from order confirmation. Premium Concrete and Cloud tables are typically 6-8 weeks. Resin river and live edge pieces vary depending on timber sourcing and complexity — usually 8-10 weeks.

We'll always confirm your lead time before anything goes into production. If you have a deadline — a house move, a birthday, a particular date — tell us and we'll do everything we can to hit it. It's always worth asking.

Yes — we keep you updated throughout production. For most bespoke orders we'll send video updates from the workshop so you can see your table taking shape in real time. It's one of the things our customers love most about working with us.

If you ever want an update and haven't heard from us, just call or message — we're a small team and you'll always get a real answer from a real person. Get in touch any time.

Care & Maintenance

Day to day, a damp cloth and a mild washing up liquid is all you need. Avoid anything abrasive or heavily acidic — no bleach, no cream cleaners, no neat vinegar. A quick wipe down after meals keeps the surface looking its best with minimal effort.

For a deeper clean or to refresh the surface, we recommend a specialist concrete cleaner — we can advise on specific products when your table is delivered. If you're ever unsure about a particular cleaning product, just drop us a message before you use it.

Our tables are sealed with a high-performance sealant that offers good heat resistance for everyday use — a warm plate or serving dish is absolutely fine. That said, we always recommend using a trivet or mat for very hot pans straight from the hob or oven, as prolonged direct heat can affect any sealed surface over time.

Think of it the same way you'd treat a quality worktop — sensible precautions, not excessive anxiety. Your table is built to live with, not just look at.

Minor surface marks and light scratches on polished concrete can often be buffed out — we'll show you how when your table is delivered. For more significant damage, polished concrete is one of the few materials that can be re-sealed and refinished on site without replacing the top.

All RockVine tables come with our 3-Year Fair Use Guarantee — so if something goes wrong that shouldn't have, we'll put it right. Just get in touch and we'll assess what's needed.

Live edge and resin river tables are finished with a hard-wearing sealant that makes everyday care straightforward — wipe clean with a damp cloth, avoid standing water, and keep away from prolonged direct sunlight which can affect the timber tone over time.

Once a year a light application of a good quality wood oil or furniture wax will keep the timber looking its best and extend the life of the finish. We'll give you specific care advice for your table's finish when it's delivered — every piece is slightly different.

Our guarantee covers any defect in materials or workmanship that appears under normal domestic use within three years of delivery. If something isn't right — a seal failure, a structural issue, a finish problem that shouldn't have happened — we'll come out and put it right at no cost to you.

It doesn't cover accidental damage, misuse, or normal wear and tear — but it does mean you can buy with confidence knowing we stand behind every table we make. If you're ever in any doubt about what's covered, just get in touch and we'll give you a straight answer.
