You've probably already met Rose without realising it. If you've scrolled past one of our Instagram posts, landed on the website from a Pinterest pin, seen us at an exhibition, or read a newsletter that actually sounded like a real person wrote it — that's almost certainly Rose.

The voice of RockVine

Rose runs marketing at RockVine — but that job title undersells what she actually does. It's campaigns, social media, events, content strategy, brand partnerships, and making sure the way we talk about our work matches the work itself. Anyone who's ever tried to describe handcrafted furniture without it sounding either pompous or generic knows how hard that is.

She's also the one who keeps our digital presence consistent across everything — website tone, Instagram captions, TikTok, Pinterest, newsletters, press releases. Under the surface, there's a proper strategy. On the surface, it just looks like RockVine.

A proper juggling act

Rose does all of that while also raising two young children, which is the bit she'd probably rather we didn't lead with but is honestly part of the story. She's the person who'll respond to a designer's DM about finish options while supervising a craft project at the kitchen table. The organisation, resilience and sheer stamina that takes — you don't learn it on a course.

Why marketing a craft business is different

A lot of businesses just want to sell more. With RockVine, the goal is slightly more complicated: attract the clients who actually understand what we do, while filtering out the ones who'd be happier with a £200 flat-pack job from a big shed retailer. Being honest about price, lead times and materials — rather than racing to the bottom — is a strategic choice, and Rose defends it well.

That's why our content skews toward buyer education, finish explainers, care guides and honest comparisons rather than pushy promotions. We'd rather a prospective client spend an hour on our blog and then confidently commission a table than convert them with a discount code.
