Specifying a bespoke concrete dining table is not a ‘product pick’ — it’s a small design package. When the table is central to the scheme, proportion, edge language, base geometry and finish control matter as much as the overall dimensions.

This guide is written for interior designers and specifiers who need predictable outcomes, clear approvals and a straightforward path from concept to installation.

Start with the seating plan

Define chair widths, end-seat usage and circulation first. Table size should be driven by real seating and movement, not a nominal ‘8–10 seater’ label.

For long runs, confirm legroom and knee clearance early — the base can make or break usability.

Choose the right visual weight

Concrete can read ‘light’ or ‘monolithic’ depending on the profile. The same footprint can feel refined or heavy based on edge depth and undercut choices.

As a rule: tighter interiors suit cleaner, slimmer profiles; larger volumes suit deeper, architectural edges that anchor the room.

Confirm structure and stability

Large spans need engineered stiffness. The tabletop build, reinforcement strategy and base geometry must be specified together.

If the table will be moved, consider sectional access, turning circles and site constraints at design stage.

Finish control and approvals

Agree the finish outcome in terms of colour, undertone, texture and sheen — then lock it with an approval sample before production.

Where schemes require repeatability, approvals are the difference between ‘close enough’ and ‘exactly as specified’.

Installation and delivery planning

Confirm access: door widths, lift dimensions, stairs, tight corners, protection of finished floors and final placement.

For multi-room projects, schedule deliveries around programme milestones and ensure each piece is labelled to its destination.

If you’re specifying for a live project, we’ll review your layout, propose a build approach and provide finish approvals before anything enters production. You deal directly with the founders — Mark or Steve — from first conversation to final delivery.
